Hello ArCH,
I’m going to use some of these super cool curved ceiling panels in my own basement and also in a Client’s basement. I’ll be combining them to make a vertical S curve. Very nifty. Like most specialty building products like this, the manufacturer’s don’t post costs online. I’ve sent a Contact form to what I believe is the closest distributor, but no telling how long that will take. Any of you used this product before? Got an idea of cost per 36″ panel or cost per SF?
I have used this product – quite some time ago on a commercial remodel space in a large hospital. Lighting will make or break the success of using these.
No idea on pricing – would suggest talking with rep about their advantages of your using this product in your own home and the advertising value that might represent. You could offer to provide them with photos of the completed project for their use and/or mention of their product in promotions you have that use such photos.
I’ve done that before – have received about 15% off – which might not be more than they offer GCs as a discount, but everything helps.
The GC griped about the installation of the curved panels and then bragged about how great the project was – typical, eh?
thanks John. My firm has designed the panels as a series of vertical “S” curves using both the convex and concave panels, end to end, and then offset pairs of those with about 12″ between them vertically, but overlapping slightly in plan view. Into this slot, we are putting direct bounce lighting, that shines onto the surface of the panels, which then will broadcast the light down from on high. Ought to be a nice effect. So I guess no one has a take on the cost, huh?
